FSA

The Fiji Surfing Association was founded in 1994 as the voice of surfing in Fiji. Up until July last year the world famous breaks of Cloudbreak and Restaurants were under exclusive usage by guest only of neighboring island Namotu and Tavaura.

Now that these breaks are open, the FSA has the opportunity to drive the local industry and development of local surfers, with the vision to eventually have a Fijian surfer on the ASP World Tour.

Tango have recently been working with the FSA to develop a digital porthole that will help towards bringing this vision to life. This site not only delivers up to date news, images/video and event information, but also acts as a revenue stream through the advertising model implemented into the information architecture.

To launch the site the strategy is to allow Volcom to have exclusive access to all of the advertising placements, and to have a reciprocal links between the Volcom world tour event site and the FSA site to drive volumes of traffic. Tango also implemented an eCommerce platform to help drive donations, and sales of FSA merchandise.

The site will act as both a local fijian surfing porthole, but also a major destination for global surfers looking for more information on waves, accommodation and local information on Tourism Fiji.
